Ind. lt;UPI — An Elkhart man and his wife were found slain in their home Tuesday. and police said robbery may have been a motive.The bodies of Paul Bonfiglio. 78, and his wife, Julia. 71, were found by their son. Fred, who went to the home after friends reported the couple had not opened their sweet shop on time TTiesdav.Bonfiglio, a native of Italy, came to America as a boy and had operated the South Side Sweet Shop near his home for 40 yearsPolice said that while no definite motive had been established, it was possible the couplewas killed in connection with arobbery. An inventory of theirhome was under way today. Officials said both Bonfiglioand his wife were stabbed anumber of times. The bodies were found near the front door,and there was evidence of a struggle.[I t *Police said the couple apparently was killed sometime Monday night.
