Julia, 71. were found slain in their Elkhart home.found by their son. Fred, who went to the home after friends reported the couple had not opened their sweet shop on time Tuesday.Bonfiglio, a native of Italy, came to America as a bov and had operated the South Side Sweet Shop near Ins home for 40 years.Police said that while no definite motive had been established. it was possible the couple was killed in connection with a robbery. \n inventorv ol theirhome was under way todav.Officials said both Bonfiglio and hs wife were stabbed a number ol times The bodies were found near the front door, and there was evidence of a struggle.Police said the couple appar entls was killed sometime Mon day night.
