norm ueorgia.Walter Williams Acquitted.We learned* yesterday from parties passing through the city that Walter Williams who has been on trial in Decatur couuty superior court all this week for a murder committed some thirteen years ago, waa acquitted of the crime )esterday. Our readers are doubtless lamiliar with the case, a history of it having been published in these columns only a few days sgo. Walter Williams has been confined in the Thomas county jail lor the past six months and those who know him arc truly glad that he is once more a free man. It is said that when the jury brought in its verdict, a most affecting scene ensued. The wife and sister of Williams shed tears of joy 1 over the release of husband and 1 brother.
