He had charged $137.29 for ( tamps cancelled in forty sixdays, when they actually amounted to but $5.83, ami his reports to the department showed 203 domestic registered letters, 176 domestic registered packages, 103 foreign letters and 113 foreign packages, when he bad, iu reality, transmitted only nine regish red pack ages in the period covered by the report. An examination showed $23 worth lt;f stock,I while there should have been $130 worth on baud. The total deficiency in theoffice is estimated at from $2,400 to $3,200. Kilchensteiu is a Democrat.
