Home Badly Damaged by fire.Last Friday afternoon the residence of George Law, on East Washington street, was discovered on tire. The tire is supposed to have started in the garret and had gained considerable headway before it was discovered. Both tire companies made a fast run to the scene, but it seemed hardly possible that they would be able to save the dwell-ipg, but they worked heroically and finally had the fire under control The loss will reacn several hundred dollars, but Mr. Law says it is covered by insurance, although there was no insurance on the household goods,iwhich were badly damaged by smoke, water and breakage. Mrs. Law had just finished elean-, ing house. The damage will be! repaired as soon as possible.
