On Friday night of last week, three men went to the honso of Mr. Leach, five milea this side of Kokomo, and by repre senting that their errand was to secure his attendance at the hed-side of a very sick son living close by, gained entrance to the house. The robbers immediately commenced endeavoring to prefect their true mission by tying Mr. and Mrs. Leach and a little boy. The old gentleman fought them oflT however, for over an hour, but finally succumbed to save his life After securely tying the parties a ransacking of the premises was perfected, and about $100 appropriated. The little boyhappened to be tied close to his panta loons, and by patient fishing got into the pockets of them, obtainined his jack-knife, cut himself loose and soon freed the fetters of the old folks. The parties robbed are the parents of Mr. Ben. Leach, living east of Frankfort. They are over seventy years of age. The robbers had probably been incited to the act from a current rumor that about $1000 in coin was concealed in the premises. Mr. Leach badly exhausted in the struggle and now lies a in critical condition.— Frankfort Banner.
