O. M. C. railroad fired a halfdozen shots with a .revolver at Flagman S, A. Wilder unci the negrobrakeman, Debro Lewis, tit 10:45-last night when the train was near Ovett, i lew miles south of Laurel. The negro oseaped. Another negro named Edwards, who was with the dno who did the shooting but who Jumped off the train when the trainmen approached, ia in jail hero. Conductor J. JL Ladner was in charge of the train.The two negroes boarded the train at Blodgot tank to come to Laurel. The negro brakeman, Lewis, saw the men got on and asked whore they were' going.
