WAt a Prisoner Says of our Jail.—Hollohan, one of the prisoner* in the Lampley murder case, while in conversation with Warden Irvin and his Deputies of Baltimore, gave it ns his opinion that the Annapolis jail was the most rickety concern he was ever in. He says that on any night of his incarceration here up to the time of his removal he could easily have knocked the old Deputy Sheriff down and walked out, but that the Deputy had treated him with so much kindness, and he fully believed he would be acquitted by the jury, he desisted until it was too late. From the first moment of his imprisonment in our jail he was in possession of a key which unlocked the shackles on his legs, and this key was found in the leg of his boot on searching him on Saturday evening last before he was received into his cell in the Baltimore city jail. Hoiiohan says that on the morning that Warden Irvin delivered him to the Sheriff here, the Deputy Sheriff after placing the irons on his legs threw his bunch of keys on the bed and left the cell for a few minutes. As soon as he had left the condemned man picked up the keys, found one that unlocked liis shackles, and taking it from the bunch retained iteversince. With this key he took off and put on the irons at pleasure, always taking care to have them on when his keeper made his appearance.
