He said. Why sister, procrastination is one of the main doctrines of the church!” He meant to say predestination. Historic predestination isn’t commonly believed or taught anymore, and procrastination may not be preached either, but it’s sure practiced by all church members. The unlearned preacher was closer to the truth than we want to admit!What arc some principles that can help us get out of the rut and into action:1. Stop talking and decide to do it (read Proverbs 14:23 or James 1:22-25).2. Set a deadline. Pentecost Day in Acts chapter two was a deadline for the apostles set by Jesus. That’s the day He kicked-off His Christianity campaign. From that point it grew like wildfire!3. Learn to master your moods (read Proverbs 16:32 - It’s a TNT Passage!).4. Burn your bridges behind you. Close the back door and lock it! Don’t look back. A rearview mirror is a wonderful tool but it’s a terrible windshield! (read Philippians 3:13-14).5. Take the first step. That's the hardest! Proceed one step at a time and one day at a time (check out Matthew 6:33-34).6. Be optimistic.
