Lorraine Lloy and Jackie visited at the Bill Benson home on Sunday.’Flu is going around, keeping many students away from schoolFirst “Young Peoples” meeting, having reopened on Friday, was fairly well attended. These meetings consist of ball playing followed by religious instruction and will be held every Friday evening. Everyone is welcome.Mr. and Mrs. Ben Basnett, Sr., and Raymond Wayland were capi-tol city visitors this week. While there they plan to visit Miss Beryl Basnett, who is a patient in University Hospital in Edmonton, also visiting a relative from Ontario.Johnny Basnett was to Grande Prairie recently.Several people were to theopening of Hines Creek school gymnasium on May 2, and the crowning of a “May Queen a* a dance which followed.Miss Jean Morgan, a grade 12 student, was crowned ‘‘May Queen” for 1958.Worsley 4-H Cotton Kids met in the school on Tuesday.Bob Portsmouth is now employed on Clarence Shaw’s farm near Fairview.The dance held on May 9 in Eureka River hall, sponsored by the newly formed Worsley orchestra. was fairly well attended. The orchestra consists of Jeanne Somers, Gordon Bjorklund, Edmond Stanley and Norman Burns.The Ladies Club held a meeting on May 1, at the teachcrage of Mrs. Jense Larsback in Mon-tagneuse Valley with Mrs. Lillian Bjornson as hostess. Several members attendedMervir. Bjornson, who broke his leg and was in the Fairview hospital for seven weeks, is now home again.Mrs. Moffat, Worsley district nurse, was busy in Worsley school this week.
