SEEK THIEVES WHO LOOTED RESIDENCEPolice on Trail of Two “Room ers° at Home of Dr. P. J. Meehan in Highland St.Police scoured the city yesterdayand last night for the two thieveswho successfully ransacked severalrooms in the home of Dr. Patrick J. Meehan of 48 Highland street Wednesday afternoon, but neither of the pair had been apprehended at a Idte hour last night. The loot obtained by the thieves consisted mostly of clothing and jewelry.According to the information given the police, two well dressed young inen went to the house and applied for a room for several days. They were taken to a third story room and 60on after appeared to be making themselves at home in their new quarters. It was not until much later in the afternoon that a boarder reported to Mrs. Meehan that hpr room had been looted and valuables taken. An investigation disclosed the fact that other rooms had been entered and that the two dapperbeing noticed.The police began a rigid investigation as soon as headquarters was notified, but the pair had apparently young men had disappeared without1 dropped from sight completely.
