Now Charged With Theft.William Woods and Jack Ixftus, who have been held In the city Jail since May 7 as state witneses In the murder case of Jesse TJtteral. were charged yesterday with having stolen a buggy, pony and a •number of household furnishings, which were discovered by Deputy Sheriff John Hardwick last week near the premises where the Titteral boy was killed.The buggy was found by Hardwick south of Galena near Shoal creek, and was Identified by Mrs. Precilla Smith of Joplin. Part of the other property has been Identified as the property of N. Mat-teer.Loftus and Woods were taken before Justice James Hilliard yesterday afternoon and their trial set for Friday. Woods waa taken to Columbus by Deputy Sheriff TTardwtck last night, but T-oftus will be held in the city jail until after Ids hearing Friday.
