Ntws From Dooglts.Douglas, May 7.—Last Friday evening Mathew Roynls hot and killed James Walker near wbafc is kuowu as Cheney Lake. Both men with their families were At the river Hsbmg. They met and Royals pulled a pistol from bis pocket vjd lirod, striking Walker in the neck. He fell forward into toe water dead. There had been bad feeling between the men for some time, and Royals bad been drinking i*t the time of the trouble After the shooting Royals went home, got his mule and rode away. He is still at large.
