ALL SIGNS INDICATE DELIBERATE MURDERArch Brown Carefully Plan ned Fearful Deed.BQRROWEO WINCHESTER RIFLEWent to House and Called for Intended Victim—Complete Details of Augusta’s Frightful Tragedy.Special to Dally News.8tsunton, Va , May 9.—Almost the sole topic of conversation in this city today was the tragedy enacted yesterday at the Ross-11 iggs home, three or four miles from this city, near Christian’s Creek, in which Perry Iloy and Cletia Higgs, the latter a mere child, were shot to death, and Abe Hoy and Edward Higgs were desperately wounded by Arch Brown. Brown is in custody.The man who killed two persons and wounded two others is now a prisoner in the jail of this city.His act, it ig alleged, was premeditated.Yesterday morning a number of persons gathered at the joint home of James Ross and Edward Higgs, located on the Barterbrook road, not far from Christian’s Creek. In the party were Abe Hoy and Arch Brown. In the course of time Abe and Arch left the house and went out on the sod to pitch dico, saying they were going to shoot for a quarter. While thus engaged the two men quarreled, Brown, it is alleged, accusing Hoy of stealing his quarter.
