Cooper, 23. and John A. Polick, 22. were arrested by Officers Morton and Loundermilk and Lt. Kuykendall. They had several tools such as screw drivers, chisels and other assorted articles of hardware in their possession. Police asked that they be placed under bond on vagrancy charges pending a complete investigation. May 16 was the date set for the next hearing.Herman Campbell was fined $1.75 on his plea of guilty on a charge of driving a car without an operator’s license. Asa Davis and Robert True, both pleaded guilty to running red lights. He told Judge Everett that he had enlisted in the navy and was due to go to Indianapolis next week for processing.
