SUSPECTirIMlhvaukre —(/P'— Investigationof an extensive Fox river valley alcohol ring took a startling turntoday when authorities reopenedthe inquiry into the death of Walter Nier, shot at his home in Green Bay March 14 by two men who represented themselves as federal officers.In tlie county jail here is Pete(Scarface) Bondle, apprehended byofficers who made the recent raidson the Helmer Milling company plant at Fond du Bac. where a still stolen from the government was recovered and large quantities ofalcohol were seized.Nier’s widow, who saw the men who killed her husband, came to Milwaukee yesterday to look atBondie.(■mi Is ExaminedThen she consulted with officials, and as a result of the conferenceit was decided to submit a pistol taken from Bondie to ballistics experts at the University of Wisconsin.
