Police and county authorities believe it was the work of the local Ku Klur Klan. One of the crosses was burned in the third ward and a bomb heralded the lighting of the!cross. The first bomb was exploded about 0:30 o’clock. The second andthird bombs were set off about fifteen minutes later and the explosions occurred within two or three minutes of each other. The second explosion was by far the most powerful of the three and the concussion shook houses onthe w’est side.
