It will be forty-eight hours before the attending physicians will pro- j nounee him out of danger. Marring the , development of pneumonia or blood- | poison, he is expected to recover. |Lucas was released on bail in the sum of $1,000 today for his appearance at a preliminary hearing to be held I as soon as the outcome of Kite’s Injuries are known. Moth ithe Kite and Lucas families have been 1neighbors for years the wounded man i living with his father, Henry ,1. Kite, on one side of the Eagle Hotel and his assailant residing in rooms over the saloon which is located in the building which he owns on the other side of the hotel.Both men are well known and have I many friends.
