ed from the court.THOUGHT AMBERS DRUNKWilliam Ambers was arrested by the police Friday evening and tried in police court on charge of assault and battery on Charles Waldron, tie pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined a total of $11 and sent to jail to lay out the fine.Waldron in his testimony stated that Mrs. Ambers had come to his home Thursday to do some sewing for his wife and stayed all night. Ambers came to the home, knocked at tht door and asked to come in to get his wife. He was refused by Mr. Waldron as the latter stated that Ambers was drunk and he did not want him in the house.Ambers bolted through the door and struck Waldron on the face. For this act charges of assault and battery wore filed against him by Waldron.
