Marshall shockedWasielewski deathSteven E.WasielewskiStudents and faculty at Marshall High School were saddened and shockedThursday to learn of the sudden death of senior athlete Steven Wasielewski.Bob Rowbotham. high school athletic director, said this morning that the news that Wasielewski haddied in his sleep sometime Thursday, had been a sad How to athletic directors and the youth’s teammates.Rowbotham saidThursday’s baseball game with Jackson Lumen Christi was cancelled because the students were too upset to go on with it. Wasielewski was catcher for the Redskin team.He also participated in football as a defensive halfback and in basketball as a forward. He was a starter in all three sports. He lettered twice in football and baseball and once in basketball, and was a member of the varsity M ClubAuthorities were still puzzled today as to the cause of the youth’s death. An autopsy was ordered by the Calhoun County medical examiner, Dr. H. E Humphrey.
