SANDERSON JURY OUT TWO HOURSDel Rioan Charged In Murder Of Man Here February 27A five-year sentence, suspended, was Riven Shilling Parker Jr. in fiSrd District Court in Sanderson, whore ho had been tried for the murder of Henry Senne, 36. his stepfather-in-law.The jury whs out two hours and 15 minutes before reporting to Judge Brian Montague. The case went U) the Jury about 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon after District Attorney Roger H. Thurmond completed his summation.The case opened in Sanderson Wednesday after being transferred from Val Verde County when examination of more than 200 men failed to yield more than four jurors at the March term of court.During the course of the trial. Mrs. Lola Parker;, wife of the accused. testified in her husband’s behalf.Henry Senne was shot to death on the morning of February 27 in his home, 405 West Second Street.Many Del Rioans were called to Sanderson to testify, some as character witnesses and others as expert testimony witnesses.Parker was defended by Will Morrlss of San Apton\o and his son, Will Morrlss. Jr., as well‘as Grady Lowrey of Del Rio. Defense was based on violation of the home.The jury In Sanderson Included Joe Kerr, Milam Northcutt, Dean McSparen. Clarence Jessup. Ed Connor, Roy Deaton, H. Mansfield, Clayton Stubblefield, Homer Parker, Robert Gatlin, Homer Gatlin-and Roger Rose.
