Tom Escape, Peigan Indian, Is Held By A. P. P. for ShootingCharlie Crow Eagle Lie* in Hospital With Life in Balance, and Bob Crow Eagle, Missing, Also SaidTo Be WoundedFollowing a drunken brawl on the Indian reserve south of Brocket late Sunday evening, Charlie Crow Eagle lies in the Peigan Indian hospital at Brocket with three bullet wounds, Tom Escape is in the custody of the A.P.P., Lethbridge, charged with the shooting, and Bob Crow Eagle, brother of the wounded man, is missing and believed to be suffering from gunshot wounds,At 11 o’clock Sunday night, a call was sent in to the local detachment of the A.P.P., Inspector Scott responding, also Const. Cawsey of Pincher Creek, and Corp. Vise of Macleod. Charlie Crow Eagle was found to be suffering from shots fired from a .22 revolver and which entered the neck, arm and chest, one wound being just beneath | the heart He was at once removed to the hospital where reports at 9 o’clock Monday morning showed his condition to be fair.The statement of Tom Escape indicates that the brother, Bob Crow Eagle, was shot and a search is being conducted for him. All the Indians in the mix-up were said to be in an intoxicated condition when the police arrived.-Condition Unchanged Little, further information was obtainable Monday afternoon regarding the Sunday shooting, but Pincher Creek reports indicated the condition of the wounded man to be unchanged.The accused Indian has retained H. Osllund,. K.C., of Lethbridge, as his legal adviser end the prisoner was removed from the cells to the Galt hospital in the afternoon for an examination.
