Wise followed and overtook them three blocks away. Palling up along side ho ordered them' to stop. As thecar came to a halt Wise suddenly found himself confronted with four i 1 revolvers of the automatic type, j The men grabbed Wise and threw j him into their auto . three covering him while the fourth drove the machine.Iktttle Is On.A telephone lineman working on a pole nearby saw the kidnapping, im- j mediately cut the wire and tele- j phoned police headquarters. Two! cars loaded with Officers Immediate- { lv started In pursuit, taking cut off j roads and five miles north of the \ city effected their purpose. The t bandits took to the woods near a j creek and the battle was on. Citi- j z**us and a detachment of Ohio N'a- j tional guardsmen which had been j gathered up at the armory arrived ' and for an hour a guerilla warfare J . was waged, more, than a thousand | j shots being fired.
