GALVESTON PAYROLL BANDITS SHOOT GUARD AND TAKE $6000GALVESTON, Texas, May 4. lt;lt;*)— Two men held up a messenger of the Glveeton Dry Dock company at Twenty-third and Strand sir®eta shortly after © a. m. today, shot a policeman, and escaped In an automobile driven by a third man. They got appropriately $6,000.The robbery occurred just after the messenger bad left the Hutching® Sealy bank accompanied by Policeman Thomas Hawkins. The policeman was shot twice through the body.EJvery available policeman In the city Immediately was ordered to Join Jn the search for the robbers.Two men approached Hawkins and th® messenger, H. D.
