The young man has a consuming appetite for liquor and this has been his ruination. Hardly is there a man in the county who has been oftener behind the bars of the county jail. The officials have h!ways been inclined1 to be lenient with him oil account of his relations and his youth, but even his parents now appreciate that there is but one course to pursue, and that is to have him indefinitely incarcerated.Finnegan was arrested Thursday night upon a charge of intoxication. He claimed at that time that he had been robbed of $70. He was arraign 'dand upon promises was let go. Today•he was arraigned again before Justice Kloenne upon a charge of larceny preferred by his father and the case was sent over to the circuit court. The affidavit charges that the defendarit stole a piece of sidemeat, worth one dollar, and a hand saw valued at seventy-five cents.Being unable to procure bond the ycung man is now in jail. His father is determined to push the case, believing that it is the best thing for his. tson.Was Not Robbed.The police report this afternoonthat Arthur Finnegan was not robbed. He had $70 yesterday, but out of this he bought a suit of clothes and some other necessities. This morninf, J. If. Blackburn, who conducts a saioon on Market street, reported to the police tjiat he had $58.75 belonging to Finnegan, which had been left in his keeping.
