In fact Tony’s exploitations in the bootleg trade have brought him into court quite frequently of late,Tony was arrested on an affidavit filed by state prohibition agents. lie is alleged to have sold intoxicating liquor to a dry agent on April 23. He pleaded not guilty to the charge when arraigned before Judge Clarence . Povtmann in municipal court today and was released under bond of $1,200 for appearance for trial May 3 at 0 o’clock.The charge brought against him by the dry officers is the fourth criminal action Tony has faced in the short space of a fewweeks. And to top off his troubles he has faced a civil action which ousted him from his establishment in Tromont avenue, SW.Tony was not the only one against whom charges were filed by the prohibition men. Prank Oirioti, who had successfully evaded the clutches of local authorities, is alleged to have made a slip and twice sold intoxicating liquor to dry agents. The dry agents in two affidavits against Ciriotl claim to have' bought illicit booze from him on February 4 and March 11.As a result he is facing two charges of selling Intoxicating liquor. He pleaded not guilty to the charges today and will be given a trial along with Ross, His bond was set at $1,200 on each charge.
