Kidnaper Is Sentenced To Die in TokyoTOKYO (UPI)—The Tokyo District Court imposed the death sentence Friday on Shigehisa Moto-yama, 32-year-old dentist, who last May kidnaped for ransom purposes and murdered the seven-year-old son of a wealthy Japanese merchant,The court rejected an insanity plea by the defense. The defense planned to appeal to prevent Motoyama’s execution by hanging.Motoyama abducted M a s a k i Ozeki on his way home from a kindergarten on May 16 last year. He then telephoned the home of the father, Susumu Ozeki, owner ot a luggage store oh the Ginza, several times demanding a ransom of one million yen.Motoyama allegedly confessed to police that he kidnaped the boy because he needed money to pay $5,000 in debts. Fearing arrest, however, he gave the boy sleeping pills ancUthen killed him by turning on the gas in his home.
