The authorities are certain that he was more sinned ;;gainst than sinning, and that an ac-romplice, an older person, led this youngster into the deed.Young Estes, with another person, undoubtedly stole ten bushels of corn from the barn on Mrs. Catherine Davis’s place, two miles east of the city, in broad daylight, on an affer-ncon about three weeks ago. The woman missed the corn when she returned home from the city. But she found an interesting relic of the deed—the end-gate from a small wagon which had—so she reasoned been driven there, loaded and1c1driven away again.The end-gate was painted, it was small, and it had been dropped not far from the barn. She had said nothing to anyone about the theft.She drove through every street and every alley in the heart of town, looking for a wagon with the end-gate missing.
