AUTOIST FREE ON BAILFOR DRUNKEN DRIVINGAfter his automobile was said to have crashed into a power pole and then ran into the front porch of a house, Albert C, Shute Jr., of 740 High street, was arrested at 2 a. m. today on a charge of driving while intoxicated.According to Patrolmen Paul Gutnpert and James Laughead, who made the arrest, Shute was driving west on Beech near Washington when the car struck a pole. It kept going, the officers added, and ran into the front porch of the home of i Reuben Ellis. 522 Beech street, 75 ■ feat away. The porch was damaged to the extent of about $150.Shute was freed in $500 bail by Justice of the Peace Grant M. Koons for a hearing before Burgess Klink. The date has not been set. Shute’s car was badly damaged.
