GETS ONE YEAR.Evick Did Not Break Jail, But Goes to the Pen.iI; The report that Eck. Evick had broke jail at Frankfort, Ind., appears to have been unfounded. To the contrary he has been placed where he can be kept safely and at the same time serve the state.Evick was taken to Troy Saturday morning by Officer Denton, of Frankfort. Ind.. and turned over to the ilia mi county sheriff'. The indictment found against him five years ago for stealing a bicycle at Troy from Walter Heor.e was still in force and, court being in session, Evick was immediately arraigned before Judge Sullivan. He plead guilty to grand larceny ar.d was sentenced to one year in the penitentiary. This may be considered a light sentence and but a trifle compared with what he should j have received. !The Frankfort officers get the $-5 ; reward ofTercd for his arrest and conviction. The Frankfort officer that took him to Troy was here Saturday afternoon on bis way home and reported EvictT sentence to the local officers.
