TERMS, FINES, FOR FORGERS SUSPENDED(Richmond Palladium-Item)Wayne Circuit Court Judge G. H. Hoelscher suspended fyies and reformatory sentences for two men who pleaded guilty to charges of forgery.Everett Smith of New Castle and Albert Fielden of Spiceland drew suspended terms of two to fourteen years in the Indiana Statereformatory.They were also fined $10 and costs, all suspended, and placed on probation for two years.Judge Hoelscher told the pair a condition of the suspenson of sentence was that they would repay the money obtained from the forgery of the check.On March 6 Smith and Fielden pleaded innocent to the charge but changed the plea.They took part in the forgery and cashing of a $58 check at the Cutshaw grocery store in Cambridge City in February.Robert E. McGee of New Castle, also implicated in the forgery, pleaded guilty to the charge on March 6 before Judge Hoelscher and was given a suspended reformatory term.The trio have admitted forging a number of checks in Henry County over a 30-day period just prior to their arrest.
