Detective Sentenced.Lisbon, March 28.—J. E. Hostetter,the alleged detective who “worked tip” the cases against illegal liquor sellers in Libon the first of the year, entered a plea of guilty in the court at New Cumberland, W. Va., and was sentenced by Judge Nesbitt to serve six months in the county jail.Hostetter was charged with attempted jail delivery. It was reported that Hostetter had been granted a pardon, but this was a mistake. Application for a pardon was made, but no action was taken In the matter.
