Charles Estep is now in the Newport jail charged with the same offense Andrew and Harry Dicken is, robbing David Argray at Clinton last November. Estep is the man who peached on the Dickens and then was not here when the case was called- for trial. He was in the Paris. 111., jail on the charge of jumping his board bill. He, being the main witness against the Dickens the case was continued until later in the term so that the state could get out requisition papers for him. But he arrived here last Wednesday morning in charge of Sheriff Stephens, he having changed his mind and came without requisitoin papers being issued. An affidavit was filed against him for stealing the watch and money that he says the Dickens stole.
