Wengenrotb is a confectioner on Qrand street, E. D., and claims that he produced the article#, for selling which he was indicted, for certain officials of How York City, and that he was not in the business as a regular thing. Great influence was brought to bear to secure his immunity, and steps ore already being tafcen to procure hi* pardon.
