In one of the first legal pro ceedings in Clearfield County developing out of alleged vio lations of the Pennsylvania Aeronautics Commission code, two countians were found guil ty of violating flying regula tions at hearings before Justice of the Peace R. P. Neal here yesterday afternoon. The ver dicts will be appealed. Two charges each were brought against Paul Litz, 21, of Curwensville and Leonard Stephens, 27, of Mineral Springs by Frank Sabbato and his sis ter, Mrs. Roberta Hammond, proprietors of the Clearfield Airport. During the two-hour session, yesterday, separate hearings were held on the two counts against Lite who was charged, with reckless flying and driving an authorized vehicle upon the landing area of any airport. Squire Neal found Litz guilty of both charges. The third hearing involved testimony in the first charge against Stephens, that of flying a paying passenger without having a commercial license. Counsel for Stephens waived nearing on the second count, against Stephens which was a charge of violating the traffic pattern at the Sabbato airfield. ‘Squire Neal found Stephens guilty of the first charge after which defense counsel announc ed that petitions would be filed with the Clearfield County Common Pleas Court for ap peal. if the appeals are granted (Please Turn to Page 5)
