A rumor is current that Mrs. Drawbond heard a shot fired some time about ten o.’olockFriday night.An inquest was held Saturday morning by Mr, J. A. Parker, acting coroner. Dr. O. Hunter Mc-Clung testified that after examination of the body, he was satisfied that death wus caused b^ ;n shot wounds in the b-o* of the head, neck and chest.The verdict of the jury, composed of Messrs. A. 8. Helms, W. H. CaBh, John B. Denison, A. J. Lovegrove, Z, R, Snider and J. W. Robertson, was, “that the said T. E. Drawbond came to hie death by a gun shot wound in the hand of some one unknown, and placedupon the railroad track.H. H. Bragg was brought to Lexington today by Constable J. J. Campbell end lodged in jail, under strong suspicion of being tie murderer of Drawbond. Bragg wa- caught early this monflng al the home of George Tyree ou the headwaters of Irish Creek.
