aSTREET DUELce| FIGHT LAST NIGHT AND GEORGEasre I LAURENDINE ONLY MANWOUNDEDFollowing an attack upon Ban Howard, a negro, with a billiard cue In Barrett’s store, Texas and Dearbory streets, last night. George Laurendlne, a niullato, was shot and painfully wounded by the man he assailed. Howard then ran from the store. Chatles laurendlne. brother of the wounded man, who was in the place at the time, secured a revolver and engaged in a running duel with Howard. Both fired several shots at each other, but none took effect. George Laurendlne was conveyed to the city hospital. Charles Laurendlne and Ben Howard were both arrested and charged with assault to murder.fst
