I know*lt;8 you've always wanted.to sec it.”£5 ■ And I turn the .card over and look at those pink blossoms, §5 5$ and wonder if the spring will ever come that will find mein#; ft Washington during cherry blossom time. Well, it still might 1 -3£M'm feeling pretty good today, in spite of all the years sitting g if on my shoulders! And I shouldn't complain as long as I can 5:gj sec pictures of those blossoms as well as t do. That's some- Q:*g tiring to be happy about.$ Two years ago, Lorraine gave me a Japanese calendar•S which had large, beautiful pictures of that country's scenic iij! # landscapes. One of the scenes Is a portion of a river, with a row of large cherry trees along its bank, the pink-bloom- $ laden branches hanging over the blue water. That attractive ;ii-;i£ fragment of a Japan countryside hangs on my kitchen wall, over $ ft the table. I enjoy it along with every meal 1 eat. And between ** i;5 the picture and the corner is my copper bulletin board on which % is a clipping that reminds me: Put your faith to work every day. 5j:§ Recently, a long-time friend dropped in fora few minutes, ig:# bringing me a turkey pie for my dinner. Sfie is an excellent £ g: cook — I love to cook/1 she told me, and I think it makes g ig a difference if you enjoy doing something.” :§*i You know, I believe that's true. Meals turn out better if £S you enjoy preparing themj gardens grow better if you enjoy # :g tending them; work seems easier when you enjoy doing It, and % £ results are more satisfying.
