Eureka Springs Testimony.F. O. Butts, banker ml lawyer of Eureka Springs, was placed 011 the stand Wednesday afternoon and told of the formation of the citizens’ committee at Eureka Springs and of its operations.He said there had never been any violence at Eureka Springs, and his committee was formed to prevent that. They invited the strikers to come before them and promise to co-operate with them in the preservation of law and order, and found them all willing except three. These were Homer Porch, Roe, and Bob byns. These were rather insolent. They were at the time, howeve**, promised protection. They later became so noted for pernicious activities that the committee was forced to withdraw that protection, and informed these men of the fact. The three strikers told that they had been ordered to leave, which was false. Porch has never returned.
