MOTHER GRANTED CUSTODYOf the Templeton Lad by Finding of Probate Court.Probate Judge Bricker rendered his decision In the matter of the habeas corpus proceeding brought by Mrs. J. S. Stewart, of this city, to secure her child from the guardian, Dr.A.M. Templeton, of Zanesville, and the , court found that the mother -was entitled tothe custody of the child.It will be remembored that B. F. Templeton, the boy's father, appointed A. M. Templeton, guardian and the boy had beon living with his guardian. The mother made several attempts to get possession of the child, bat failed and then retained attorneys in this city to begin habeas corpus proceedings to secure Lho boy. It was alleged in the petition that tbo boy was restrained of his liberty by being kept in Zanesville by his uncle and guardian. Sheriff Payne was given the writ, went to Zanesville and brought the boy back to Uns city, alter which there was a hearing before the probate judge.The guardian. A. M. Templeton, was not horo Monday afternoon to hear the opinion and decision of the court. It being stated that he Is lying III at Ms borne in Zaueaville. Messrs. Charles Baldwin and A. J. Andrews, his brother-in-law. were hero, however, and were In court together with the attorneys for the guardian. It is stated that the matter will be carried to common pleas court by the gaurdlan.
