Charles Howard, Colored, Arrestedby Sergt. Strack. For Stealing While Suffering Froma Fit.Charles Howard, colored, was arrested last evening by Sergt. Strack on a charge of stealing an electric motor from El Weidman’s saloon on Pearl street. Howard was arraigned before Justice Richards this morning and pleaded guilty. He was bound over to await the action of the grand jury next Monday.Howard claims to have fits andthat he eaunot let go of aoy article which he grasps when he has one of his spells. He was recently releasedfrom the penitentiary at Jeffersonville whore he served u year for grasping an article in a fit and forgetting to let go.He is a confirmed thief and bis bluff fits will not save him. He had three in as many minutes in a cell at the police station last night.
