Eva Brannin, 31 years old, took the stand in her defense on the manslaughter charge in connection with the shooting of William Guess, S3, in a Taylorville tavern, on the night of Oct, 28, 1941.The Jack Brown home, 1628 Second avenue, was damaged to the extent of $20 by a blaze started by gasoline overflowing from a stove.TUESDAYEva Brannin, 34 years old, was convicted of a manslaughter charge in the fatal shooting of William Guess, 31, Dresser, in a tavern brawl in Dresser, Oct. 28, 1941. The trial started Monday morning, and the jury returned its verdict at 7:15 o’clock this evening.
