Wright was wanted here on a j1 charge preferred by Mrs. Wright P No. 2, who was formerly Miss w Velma Hartman, a trained, nurse * of Gastonia, who alleges that the , a man she married has a wife living s at Norwalk, Ohio.Acting on complaint of Mrs. j 8 Wright. Solicitor Carpenter last week secured the arrest of Wright e in the New York town where his 1 father is pastor of a church. He *0 also obtained requisition papers * from Governor Gardner on Governor Roosevelt several days ago and was awaiting a reply when Saturday's message came saying that the prisoner had been ud- f i judged insane by a lunacy com- ‘ mission and was now in an | asylum. This turn to the case will -preclude any further steps in the j 1 prosecution of Wright on the bigamy charge at this time.Wright came to Gastonia in August, 1930. and established a clinical laboratory. He remained ' here about a year. In the latter part of 1931 he and his newly ac-1 quired wife went to Norwalk, \ Ohio, his former home, to live. When his wife No. 2 discovered that he had another living wife she returned here alone a few weeks ago and is now at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mr-. Quincy Hartman at el wood, Cleveland county.
