YOUNG AMERICA 8CN8ATION.The little town of Yooag Amerioe isin the throee of * social sensation caused , by the sadden degradation of two of its most prominent Inhabitants. The scandal is that of the alleged case of criminal practice said to hare occurred three weeks ago in Kokomo and in which the parties implicated are George McManama and Roea Tangboin, of Yoong America, and a Kokomo woman, whose name has not been learned. McManama has a wife and two cbi’dren, a boy and girl, at Yonng America. He is aboat 28 years of age, rather good looking, and mores in the beet circles of society. When he went to Kokomo with the Tangboin woman he told his wife that be had secured a permanent position there as a representative of an insurance company. It is a fact that he had secured a position with the company. After a few weeks the continued absence of McManama and Miss Tangboin, whom gossip had long ago spotted, caused much talk at the Cass county village, and finally the young woman arrived at her home* She was soon apprised of the rumors. She put a hold face on the matter and denied all charges. Her pastor and other members of the Baptist church confronted her with' the charges and she confessed all, giving names and dates.A meeting of the congregation was held and Miss Tangboin was dismissedfrom membership.McManama is a prominent member of the Masonic and Knights of Pythias lodges at Young America. Both lodges will investigate the carges against him and if found guilty will expel him. The lodges met last night. McManama is at his home. The matter will probably come before the next session of the Howard county grand jury and in the event of indictment there will be a criminal prosecution.
