Petraeus, one of Joplin’s popular society leaders, has assumed the role of a detective. Yesterday she beganworking on a case and within two hours she had obtained enough evidence to cause the afrest of two girls. They will be arraigned before Justice S. F. Jones today. Mrs. Petraeus isthe leading witness.For several months the Petraeus ^n home as well as others on North Heights have been systematically worked by petit thieves. It has been a common occurrence for some of the citizens in that section of the city to report small losses to the police.The Petraeus family has lost more da than anyone else. Their present homeis located at 602 North Wall street. Some time ago a lawn mower was w; stolen from the Petraeus home.
