While Mr. Rochelle has ever takenan active interest in the eitv’s affairs, still lie never pretended to lieactive in polities. However, in lS!)ti, he was elected to the city council of this citv from the former Fifth ward and served in that capacity for two years, wiili much credit t' himself and his constituents. He did much during the time he served as councilman, not only for the improvement of his ward, hut also for the benefit lt;d the city at large, whose interests he ever had at heart.Mr# Rochelle was married to MissCatherine Fraley, on August 17, and from this union three children were born, William Kdgar, .John Franklin and Flora May.Mr. Rochelle has ever been straight* forward and honest in his dealings with men and no one lias ever doubts ed his won! when once given, his one desire being# to deal with his fellow men as he desired that they deal withhim.
