It had multiple sores on its legs, and its teeth werestained.Streeter lifted the pups head out of the urine so that it could get a breath of air, court records stated. He immediately brought the dog to Raven Veterinary Services, where it died seven hours later. A necropsy and specimens sent to the University of Washington showed the dog died of starvation, records stated.Burk wrote in a letter to animal control, “Now that I look back on everything, I should have had her put down a long time ago and should not have let her suffer the way she did. I wish I could change a lot of things but I cannot.”A witness told authorities that Burk encouraged her son to kick the dog for amusement.Attempts to contact Burk were unsuccessful.
