Coed plans to rest at her homeWEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (APJ — Susan Wells Cochran, found unharmed Thursday after her disappearance Feb. 19, plans to return to Purdue University this week and resume classes, her father says.James R. Cochran said, “We expect her to return to Purdue in a few days to finish the semester. It’s already been set up with the people at Purdue.”Cochran and his wife flew to West Ufayette to meet their daughter Friday when she returned from her 22-day ordeal. They then took her to their home In Little Falls, N.J., for a rest.Dr. Thomas R. Upper t, 25, an assistant professor and Harold R. Tenneson, Zl, a junior student, both from Southwest, Minn., State College have been charged with kidnaping Miss Cochran from the Purduecampus.An FBI spokesman said Miss Cochran told them she posted a notice on a bulletin board seeking a ride to Boston, but wasabducted at gunpoint after accepting the ride from the man.She told the FBI the man told her he wanted her for an experiment for several weeks, then forced her to drink whiskey and she passed out. Ultimately, she was taken to New Uim, Minn., where LipperTs parents' home is located.She was driven once to Atlanta and once to Minneapolis-St. Paul during the 22 days, the FBI said.Miss Cochran said she had not been physically restrained during most of the period she was held captive, but she said was afraid to run away beause her captors threatened to harm her, her parents or others including her boyfriend.
