It was the last of 15 cars to be recovered by authorities.Stanlev Smith, 23, alleged to be! the ••brains of the theft ring, in his confession to police last week, told that the chassis, wheels and motor of a car could be found in the quarry. Don Brown’s wrecK service located the submerged machine and yanked it out.Everything but the body of the car was recovered, and Police Chief Larkins said that the body bad been located so the complete machine will be available lor its owner when he ie determined through check-ups with automobile associations.Fourteen of the 15 cars were recovered in and near Findtay. and the fifteenth was found in Toledo.Only two owners have been found so far, both in Detroit, and their cars have been returned to them.Through the aid of bills of sale, mostly genuine., and obtained through the purchase of wrecked chassis with good motors, the stolen cars, by trading and sale, have passed into the hands of reputable-rICars were thus recovered by police from Frank Barger, Findlay; Ray Bell, Bairdstown'? Theron Arraa, Findlay.In addition each of the trio. Stanley Smith, George Foster and Howard Arras had one of the cars.Smith and his two alleged accomplices fn the ring have pleadedguilty before a U. S. commissionact. The bond of each has been placed at $1,000.
