Judge McKenney then1 -Q.ad his instructions to the jury. jLsputy Attorney Ponder presented certain -phases of the case to the jury prior to adjournment for a 7 o'clock session. When court met at 7, Attorney Thacker made a strong argument on behalf of his client, stressing in every possible way the accident phase of the case and Bailey’s solicitude for Mrs. Skinner following the shooting-. Argument for the state was closed by Prosecutor Grimm. In presenting their case Messrs. Ponder and Grimm as they admitted would be tbe case, made no attempt along oratorical lines, each admitting Mr. Thacker’s superiority along that line. However, their summary of the evidence was ably put before the jury and carried weight with it, as indicated by the fact that the jury did not take long to come to a decision.The jury retired at 9 o’clock Friday night.
